Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music from the United States. Following the release of two singles and an album titled Satisfied in 2007, she established the group Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert and released her second album, titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager of the Village of Riverside Illinois and has over 15 years experience as a public servant, which includes nearly five years as an Deputy City Manager within Iowa City. The Village Manager's Assistant's duties include managing the Community Development and Building Department, coordinating grants and completion of special projects. Ashley is involved in the day-to-day running of Riverside's services and also in implementing elected officials' and community visions. Ashley has served in a range of positions previously, such as municipal planning, government communications budgeting, collective bargaining and management of employees in addition to working on climate change-related initiatives. Ashley's participation in national organizations, and her work with communities of varying demographics has allowed her to gain insight into the differences and similarities in the way various public agencies run.
